Panoramic dental x-rays use a very small dose of ionizing radiation to capture an image of the entire mouth. We perform these exams and oral surgeries in our daily practice, while using them to plan treatments for false teeth, dental appliances, extractions, and implants.

This exam requires little or no special preparation. Please talk to the doctor if there is any chance you are pregnant. You will need to remove any jewelry, glasses, or metal objects that could interfere with the x-rays. You will be asked to wear a lead apron to protect the rest of your body from any radiation exposure.
